Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato

The V8 Vantage Zagato was Aston Martin's 1980s answer to the supercar establishment, launched at Geneva in 1985 and built in a run of just 50 cars plus two prototypes. It pairs a shortened, lighter V8 Vantage chassis with an alloy body by Zagato of Milan, and uses the 'X-pack' 5.3-litre V8 with 432 bhp. This is one of those 50.

This example was signed off by the factory in November 1987 and first registered in January 1990. It has covered only 600 miles, having spent its life in climate-controlled storage. It is finished in Gladiator Red, the original Zagato colour, with Parchment Connolly hides piped in red, and has a manual gearbox.

The dealer has recommissioned the car in its own workshops and road-tested it for more than 250 miles. It now has a sports exhaust, upgraded suspension and new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres on new Ronal-pattern 16-inch wheels. The original Speedline Aero wheels with their Goodyear Eagle tyres, and the parts removed in the work, are included. The car comes with its handbook, tool roll, two keys, an unused spare, a fitted indoor cover and a battery conditioner. The page lists three previous owners.
