Aston Martin V8 Vantage

This V8 Vantage left Newport Pagnell in October 1983 and has a story that reads like a film credit: it served as the soundtrack car for Timothy Dalton's V8 Vantage in the 1987 Bond film The Living Daylights. It was originally finished in Rosso Nero with Magnolia hide piped in Burgundy and beige carpets, and is now shown in blue.

Its history is documented owner by owner. Aston Martin Works looked after it early on, Desmond J Smail took over maintenance in 1992, and it spent long periods in Scotland, including a spell in conditioned storage. Mileage readings at points along the way include about 3,000 miles by 1987, 69,000 by 1995, 92,000 in 2002 and 95,000 when the current vendor's predecessor bought it.

A restoration by Runneymede Motor Co from 2012 included a repaint, retrim, sills and rebuilt suspension and axles. Brake and suspension overhauls followed under Oselli, and the car has been maintained by the selling dealer since 2022. It comes with the original owners' handbook, the service voucher book and a comprehensive history file. The current odometer reading is not given.
