Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante X-Pack

The V8 Vantage Volante was briefly billed as the world's most powerful production convertible, and only 192 were built for all markets before production ended in 1989. This car carries the X-Pack engine specification, rated at 410 bhp, and is paired with an automatic gearbox. It is finished in Salisbury Blue with Magnolia hide piped in Navy Blue, Slate Blue carpets and a Navy mohair-type power hood.

It left the factory in June 1989 for Monaco, then returned to be converted to right-hand drive before going to its first UK owner, a London collector. It passed through Sytner and a Cheshire collector, and was serviced by Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell. A long-term owner bought it in 1996 with just over 3,000 miles and kept it until 2020, by which time it showed about 40,000. The odometer now reads 42,335 miles, and the page lists five previous owners.

The dealer reports around six years of restoration in its own workshops. This covered the chassis and running gear, a full Connolly hide retrim, new Wilton carpets and a new hood. The history file includes MoT certificates from 1995, service invoices, former V5 documents, an Aston Martin Heritage Trust certificate, handbooks, the jack and tool roll, a car cover and a battery conditioner. It is sold with 12 months' MoT and warranty.
