Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante X-Pack

The X-Pack was the hot version of Aston Martin's long-running V8 Vantage: a Tadek Marek 5.3-litre V8 with four 48mm Weber carburettors, enlarged valves and ports, revised cams and Cosworth pistons, for an estimated 410 bhp. This is the Volante, with the lip on the boot lid, flared arches, side skirts and bonnet scoop that set the X-Pack apart, plus Ronal-designed polished alloy wheels.

It is a matching-numbers, factory-built car with the less common five-speed manual gearbox, and it has covered only about 6,500 miles from new. It still wears its original Windsor Blue Metallic paint over a Magnolia hide interior with dark blue piping and Wilton carpets.

Supplied new by JCT600 in Yorkshire, it spent nearly all its life in North Essex, apart from 15 months in Macclesfield. The last keeper owned it for 24 years.
