Aston Martin DB6 Volante

This is one of only 140 Mark 1 DB6 Volantes, the long-wheelbase open car that was the last of the David Brown-era Astons and the first to carry the Volante name. Chassis DBVC/3624/R was delivered new to H W Motors in England in May 1967 and still has its matching-numbers 3,995cc Tadek Marek twin-cam six, rated at 282 bhp in standard triple-SU form.

Early in its life the original Borg-Warner automatic was replaced by a ZF five-speed manual. That is the gearbox most enthusiasts would choose today. The page lists five owners in total, the most recent of whom kept it for 17 years.

Lonsdales Vintage Car Restorations recommissioned the car between November 2025 and April 2026, at a cost of over £100,000. The work included an engine and gearbox overhaul, uprated suspension, power steering overhaul, carburettor reconditioning, new stainless manifolds and radiator, new fuel lines and brake pipes, and a refurbished power roof. It also covered new carpets and soundproofing, new seat belts and some re-chroming. The electric roof and power windows are reported to work.
