Aston Martin DB6 Volante

This DB6 Volante was built in April 1969, late in the model's run, and is one of only 140 made. It was delivered new to Suede & Leathercraft Ltd in London E1 with power steering, chrome wire wheels, front seat belts and a power aerial.

It was restored in 2009-2010 by Aston Martin specialists. The matching-numbers engine was rebuilt to 4.2-litre, lead-free-fuel specification, and a period-correct ZF five-speed manual gearbox was fitted. Suspension, brakes and electrics were overhauled, and the interior was retrimmed in Fawn hide. A further bare-metal repaint in 2021 gave it its present Cornish Bronze, an Aston Martin period colour, with a black mohair-type hood.

The dealer sold the car to its previous owner in 2011 and has serviced it since. It has covered around 6,000 miles since the restoration, and the odometer reads 64,592. A leather-bound history file holds restoration records, photographs, maintenance details and MoT certificates. The page lists four previous owners and a price reduced from £675,000.
