Aston Martin DB6 Volante

The DB6 Volante was Aston Martin's answer to demand for a proper four-seat convertible with usable luggage space, and only about 140 were built. This 1967 car is one of the more relaxed ones to live with, specified new with automatic transmission, power steering, a power-operated hood and chrome wire wheels, all of which it still has.

It has recently been through extensive work by Aston Martin Heritage specialists and Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell. That covered rebuilds of the transmission and the front and rear suspension, plus overhauls of the brakes and cooling system. The interior has been retrimmed in Connolly Tan Vaumol hide with new Wilton wool carpets and a new fabric hood, and the car has been refinished in Pacific Blue.

Engine and chassis numbers are said to match. The mileage of 48,659 is believed correct and is backed by a history file with MoT certificates, DVLA test history, service invoices and records going back to 1967. The car has had four previous owners and has been serviced annually by the selling dealer for the last five years.
