The DB6 was the last of the Newport Pagnell Astons in the David Brown era, and this 1967 Vantage-specification car has the more powerful engine and a manual gearbox. It left the factory in Oystershell with a red Connolly interior, and factory records name its first owner as Prince Nicholas von Preussen, who had Coolaire air conditioning fitted at the factory later in 1967.
The history file traces later keepers including Mr Kennedy, who bought it in 2004. Desmond J Smail acquired it in 2013 and sold it to the current owner, who then commissioned a two-year restoration. The work included a body-off rebuild by Bodylines, an engine rebuilt to 4.2 unleaded specification with Cosworth pistons and a new crankshaft, and rebuilt gearbox and axle. It also covered Harvey Bailey suspension and brake kit, EPAC power steering, modern air conditioning in the original Coolaire unit, re-chroming, and a repaint in Cumberland Grey with a red Connolly retrim.
The car was delivered back in 2015 and has covered only a few hundred miles since, kept in conditioned storage. It is described as matching numbers and fully documented.
