Aston Martin DB6 Vantage

This 1967 DB6 is a Vantage-specification car with a manual gearbox, chrome wire wheels, a heated rear screen and a power aerial. It was first supplied in June 1967 in Pacific Blue with black trim, and it still carries its original registration, LPM 90E.

Its history is unusual. It was exported to America in 1977 and logged only about 3,000 miles there, which the owner's handwritten log in the history file documents. It was found in dry storage in New York in 2015, complete and in its original colours, then repatriated to the UK.

A full body-off restoration followed. Aston Engineering rebuilt the matching-numbers engine to 4.2-litre specification, and electronic power steering was added. The car is now Azzurro Blue with deep red Connolly Vaumol leather and Wilton carpet. It has covered around 1,500 miles since the restoration and comes with a detailed history file, the original hydraulic jack and the owner's handbook.
