Listed today at Aston Engineering, Derby. Last checked today.
This DB5 was completed at Newport Pagnell on 28 May 1964 and registered on 2 June that year. The factory build sheet records it as a demonstrator for Brooklands of Bond Street, London, originally finished in Sierra Blue with grey Connolly Vaumol trim. It returned to the works in December 1964 for minor rectification and appears in the AMOC register in 1967.
The current owner bought it as a project in 2011 and began a restoration with Mark Humphries, formerly of Aston Martin. It was passed to Aston Engineering in 2017 to be finished, and has covered just over 1,000 miles since. The work was a complete body-off restoration.
It is now in Snow Shadow Grey with black Vaumol leather, grey Alcantara headlining and Wilton carpets. Upgrades made during the rebuild include a 4.2-litre engine with Vantage conversion, a handling kit, power steering, alloy wheels with three-eared Borrani spinners and a Becker Mexico radio. The price is on application.
