This DB2 is a Le Mans Lightweight-specification car, built to sit very close to the works Aston Martin team cars that ran at Le Mans in the 1950s. It is finished in Aston Racing green, with original dark green leather and tartan bucket seats.
Under the bonnet is the matching-numbers 2.6-litre engine, fitted with a steel crankshaft and rods and breathing through triple Weber carburettors. About 20 years ago the car was rebuilt with an alloy bulkhead and alloy inner wings, which saves a useful amount of weight.
It has been raced extensively in recent years, including at the Le Mans Classic and the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy. It has recently been repainted and has new window frames and perspex. The dealer says it is being made race ready for its next owner. HTP/FIA papers run to the end of 2026, and the page says the car is also eligible for the Mille Miglia. The page gives a mileage of 11,140 and a recently reduced price of £195,000.
