Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Pickwick Limousine

This 1921 Silver Ghost is an early Springfield-built chassis, number 95BG, carrying Willoughby Pickwick town car coachwork. It is right-hand drive and retains its original wooden artillery wheels, which the page says were ordered by the first owner, Tom Batchelor of Reno, Nevada, and are one of only two sets of this type.

The odometer reads 25,696 miles, and the dealer believes that is genuine. The car spent more than 45 years in a US museum and has been used sparingly since coming to the UK. The oldest UK MOT on record shows 20,000 miles in 1989, so only about 5,000 miles have been added since. The late Terry Cohn bought it out of storage and had Coldwell Engineering recommission it, a job documented over ten pages, with £13,000 spent in 1991.

The interior keeps its original wool cloth upholstery, with a cocktail cabinet on the bulkhead, a wind-up division and the full set of period instruments. The dealer reports steady 20 psi oil pressure, cool running at motorway speeds and comfortable cruising at 50mph. It is offered freshly serviced.
