This 356A Coupe is an original right-hand-drive car finished in a factory Special Order orange, a rare colour for the model. Completed at Zuffenhausen in late 1957, it was delivered new to Nairobi in January 1958 through Cooper Motors, with options including a left headrest bolster, two extra swivel windows, an electric clock, Koni dampers and US-style bumpers.

It has had three owners from new, the latest for about 30 years, and retains its matching-numbers engine and gearbox. A multi-year nut-and-bolt restoration was carried out by RSC Automobile in Belgium, starting in 2019. The car was imported to the UK in January 2022 and registered that March, and Prill Porsche has done further work since.

The odometer reads 1,119 km, with under 1,000 km covered since the restoration was finished. A history file holds the restoration invoices, period photographs from Kenya and more than 450 photographs of the rebuild.
