The MG TD replaced the TC in 1949, bringing sharper handling and a smoother ride to the T-series formula. It uses the 1,250cc twin-carb XPAG four with a four-speed manual gearbox, good for 54bhp and around 80mph. Only 1,656 of the roughly 30,000 built stayed in the UK, as most went to the US, so a right-hand-drive home-market car is the scarcer find.
This one was first registered in May 1952 and has had eight owners in its 73 years. A father and son restored it together over a number of years, rebuilding it from the ground up. The page says virtually every part was restored or renewed, including the underside. There is a rumour that the son, who worked for McLaren, had the car painted there, though that is unconfirmed.
The dealer supplied it inspected and serviced, with a 12-month warranty. The listing is now marked sold, and it gives no price, mileage or registration.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (MG factory specification for the XPAG 1250cc engine (54 bhp at 5,200 rpm). Period performance and weight figures came from road tests, not MG, so they are left blank.).
