The MGC paired the MGB's body with a 2.9-litre straight-six, giving a more relaxed and quicker touring car than its four-cylinder sibling. This is a UK-specification Home Market roadster, built in late March 1968 and supplied new through University Motors. It left the factory with wire wheels, overdrive, a foldaway hood, tonneau and heater, and was first registered in Greater London as TML 911F.
The car is said to have covered around 5,000 miles in the past 20 years. It had a full bodywork repaint and mechanical refurbishment around 2005, and about £7,000 has been spent this year. That work covered the cylinder head, handbrake cable and levers, wheel cylinders, front brake calipers, a gear lever bush and new Pirelli Cinturato tyres. Cosmetic work includes a new dashboard trim kit, boot carpet, a woodrim steering wheel and refurbished wire wheels.
It comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate, various invoices, and old tax discs and MOTs going back many years. The previous owner kept it for 15 years.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (BMC published engine figures (2912cc C-Series straight-six, 145 bhp gross). Weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because the commonly quoted figures come from period road tests, not the manufacturer.).
