About this car

This 1974 MGB is a purpose-built historic race car rather than a road car. It was owned and raced by Rob Huff in the early to mid-2000s, the future touring car champion, and took numerous class wins and fastest laps in the BCV8 Championship. It has since been campaigned in the BCV8 series, Equipe 70s and the Classic Sports Car Club.

It is finished in red with a white hardtop and roundels. The 1950cc engine and the gearbox were rebuilt in 2023 and have done very little running since. The car also has a limited-slip differential with a 4.1 ratio, an electric water pump and an alloy radiator.

For the 2026 season the fire system will need a service. The seatbelts are in date until the end of 2028. The dealer describes it as an accessible way into historic racing.
