About this car
This 1987 R107 300SL is a rebuilt car rather than a simple survivor. It started life as a low-mileage, well-kept example that had never been welded or repanelled, which made it a strong candidate for a full restoration by SLSHOP.
Every nut and bolt was removed and refreshed, and the body was sandblasted and repainted in its original Signal Red (568). Inside, the cream beige leather (275) is the classic pairing for the colour. The odometer reads around 30,000 miles, and the car is an automatic petrol roadster.
After the work was done, the car was displayed at the Mercedes-Benz Museum at Brooklands for the R107's 50th anniversary celebrations. It then sat in a private collection of Mercedes-Benz convertibles before coming up for sale. It is not exempt from ULEZ.
