About this car

The W109 300 SEL 6.3 put the V8 from the 600 limousine into the S-Class saloon, creating one of the quickest four-door cars of its day. This is a right-hand-drive example, a scarce thing in the UK, finished in Midnight Blue (code 904) over blue leather.

It was originally painted in code 350 H and refinished in 904 more than ten years ago. The dealer says it was once owned by the chairman of the UK club and looked after by a single mechanic, with the history documented in a large file.

Recent work includes a full service by Aston Works Newport Pagnell, work on the air suspension, and an overhaul of the fuel injection pump. The blower motor and bearings were also done. The air conditioning is reported to be working. The page gives no mileage.
