This 1968 280 SL Pagoda has been through a full nut-and-bolt restoration and is offered in the Concours Edition specification. It is finished in Midnight Blue (code 304) over parchment leather, with a parchment soft top and a matching hardtop. It is right-hand drive, UK supplied and described as matching numbers, with power steering.
The notable departure from original is the gearbox. The car left the factory with a four-speed manual and now has an upgraded six-speed manual. That should mean lower revs at cruising speed, with less cabin noise and better fuel economy. It makes the car easier to live with on long touring runs.
The history on the page is brief. The first owner kept the car in Leeds for over fifteen years, and later long-term owners covered a further 25 years or more. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Mercedes-Benz factory data for the standard 280 SL (W113): 170 PS DIN. 'Concours Edition' is not a factory variant. Top speed is for manual cars; kerb weight and 0-60 are null because the figures aren't confirmed or were published only as 0-100 km/h.).
