Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda

This is a right-hand-drive W113 280 SL, the final and most desirable development of the Pagoda line. It is finished in its original white (code 050) with a black hardtop, black hubcaps and a black soft top, all matching the factory data card, which is present. Inside are black MB Tex seats and twin-loop carpets, with a Becker Mexico radio.

The car began life in London, supplied by Jackson's Mercedes-Benz. A Mercedes-supplied short-block engine was fitted in 1980 at 72,000 miles, and this is recorded in the service booklet and on the plate riveted to the engine block. The service book carries more than 40 stamps and there is a history file with receipts.

The car has had a restoration, with recent paintwork and interior work. The dealer reports original features such as the grooves on the front wing are still visible, along with good panel gaps and a solid chassis. It shows 116,000 miles.
