£199,950
About this car
A 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL 'Pagoda' presented following a full restoration by Hemmels, the Welsh specialist renowned for ground-up rebuilds of W113-generation SLs. Finished in Silver Metallic over a Bordeaux leather interior, the car is supplied with its removable hard-top, completing the classic dual-roof configuration that defined the Pagoda's clean, architectural silhouette.
The W113 280 SL was the final and most developed iteration of the Pagoda line, powered by Mercedes' 2.8-litre M130 straight-six with Bosch mechanical fuel injection. This example is fitted with the four-speed automatic transmission, typical of the cars built for export markets, and the odometer reads 93,000 miles. Hemmels restorations are widely regarded for their factory-correct finishes and mechanical rigour, and this car's condition reflects that approach.
A genuinely usable classic Mercedes with strong provenance underneath, suitable for events, rallies and weekend use in equal measure.
