The Mercedes-Benz 200 (W21) replaced the W02 and was built from 1933 to 1936. This is a long-wheelbase car, a layout introduced in 1934. Of the 6,341 W21s made in all forms, only a handful were bodied as drophead coupés. This one carries a Sindelfingen two-door cabriolet body, number 812447, and seats four.
Power comes from a 1,961 cc six-cylinder engine rated at 39 hp. The dealer likens its pace to a Rolls-Royce 20hp, with 50 mph cruising on B roads. The car is finished in Prussian Blue with black wings. It has a burgundy leather interior and carpets, and a fawn cloth-lined hood.
The car was first registered in 1935 and still has its Swiss papers, with EU taxes paid. A London collector of mainly Mercedes owned it before. It has been restored over the last few years, with fresh paint and a new interior, and the mechanicals were inspected and overhauled where needed. A UK registration has been applied for. The price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Mercedes-Benz heritage data for the W21 200 (1,961 cc straight-six, 40 PS); weight and top speed for the LWB Cabriolet are not confirmed, so they are null).
