The Emira Turbo First Edition pairs Lotus's 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, sourced from AMG, with an eight-speed automatic. It is the more compact, higher-revving alternative to the supercharged Toyota-derived V6, and the one many road testers find better balanced. First Edition cars were the launch-spec run and carried the more extensive standard equipment list, which makes them the natural reference point for the range.

This 2025 example has covered 9,271 miles and is finished in Dark Verdant, a deep green that suits the Emira's Evora-descended proportions, over a Red Nappa leather interior. That combination is a good deal more distinctive than the usual greys and blacks. The car is offered at £62,995 by Lotus Silverstone, who have a similar 10,100-mile example listed for £66,000.

The Emira is the last petrol-only Lotus, built in Hethel on the bonded aluminium chassis that gives the marque its feel. Its hydraulically assisted steering and tuned chassis remain a clear step above most rivals on a challenging road, which is why it has been so well received. The Turbo gives up the V6's soundtrack but gains a lighter nose and strong mid-range torque.
