Chassis 621 is a Series 3 Lotus 15 supplied new to Team Lotus and driven by works driver Alan Stacey in 1959. It is one of a small number of 15s fitted with a ZF gearbox, and is regarded as one of the more complete and original survivors. It retains its original engine, currently running with a replacement block, along with the original numbered block and bodywork. A historian suggests it may have gone to Le Mans in 1959 as a spare or second entry.
Its period record includes 7th place in the 1960 New Zealand Grand Prix with Jim Palmer, against 2.5-litre Cooper Grand Prix cars. It raced on into the 1970s and was re-imported to the UK by Spencer Flack in the early 2000s.
Recent history is strong. Ewan McIntyre took class wins in the Stirling Moss Trophy in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and 2nd overall at the Le Mans Classic. The current owners bought it in 2017 and have set fastest lap in the 2019 Sussex Trophy, taken 4th in the Stirling Moss Trophy at Donington and won with the VSCC. The page gives no price.
