The Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole is widely regarded as the most desirable of the line, with around 610 built between 1985 and 1988. This 1988 car, chassis JLA12397, is believed to be one of only 17 right-hand-drive Quattrovalvoles fitted with side skirts.
It was supplied new through Portman Concessionaires to British businessman Gerald Carroll, the third of four Countach he bought. The specification is Rosso over Tan leather with Nero piping, plus a sports exhaust, rear spoiler, rear wing tell-tale lights, chrome badges and burgundy leather on the wheel rim, gear gate and gear knob, all still present.
It covered few miles early on and was stored from 1998. In 2010 it had a cosmetic restoration and a mechanical overhaul of the engine and transmission, including a new clutch and a Larini exhaust. It has since been used sparingly in a private collection, and recent work has been completed in the dealer's workshops. It shows 14,350 miles.
