Jaguar XK140 SE Fixed Head Coupe

This XK140 SE fixed head coupe left Browns Lane in December 1956, as confirmed by a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. It was first registered in France and later returned to the UK, where it is said to retain its matching numbers.

Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth carried out a full body-off restoration, completed in 2011, which included conversion to right-hand drive. The engine was rebuilt by VSE for unleaded fuel. The car has the factory Special Equipment package, the optional C-Type cylinder head and its original sand-cast carburettors. Upgrades for easier use include a five-speed Getrag gearbox, rack and pinion power steering, servo-assisted brakes and a uprated cooling system.

The car is finished in British Racing Green with a green Connolly leather interior and a wooden dashboard. It has been serviced recently by CKL Developments. The listing is marked as sold.
