This 1952 Jaguar XK120 is a left-hand-drive open two-seater, built on 12 June 1952 and described as matching numbers. It wears its factory combination of Gunmetal over red leather, and comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate confirming the original specification. The left-hand-drive layout suits Continental touring and historic rallying.
It has American racing history: a 1954 Chanute Racing plaque on the dashboard, and Racing Sports Car Club information places it among 20 XK120s at the Chanute AFB event in Illinois. It still has an original aero screen. The car came to the UK in 2016 and was registered as YWG 297.
A major programme of work began in 2020. The original engine was checked and reported to have good oil pressure and compressions. The body was taken to bare metal and repainted in Gunmetal, and the chassis was cleaned and repainted after being found structurally sound. The Moss gearbox was overhauled and the brakes fully overhauled. Other work includes a new clutch, rebuilt carburettors, a new aluminium fuel tank, new rear springs, re-trimmed interior and new hood equipment. Invoices and photographs record the work. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's period specification for the standard 3.4 XK engine: 160 bhp gross and a claimed 120 mph. Jaguar published no official kerb weight or 0-60 time; the widely quoted figures come from magazine road tests, so those fields are null.).
