The XK120 OTS was the open two-seater that announced Jaguar's postwar sporting intentions, and this one, first sold in Devon in November 1953, has an unusually well-documented life. It spent some 60 years with a single custodian who rallied it and set Fastest Time of the Day at the Wiscombe Hill Climb in 1966. It has also been shown at the Totnes Motor Museum and the Concours of Elegance, and completed the Arlberg Classic Rally.
The mechanicals are no longer standard. After the non-original 3.8-litre block cracked in 2020, Guy Broad in Coventry rebuilt the engine to fast-road specification with a 9:1 compression ratio, big-valve head, fast-road cams and new SU carburettors. It also gained a Broadsport five-speed gearbox, Zeus servo-assisted disc brakes at both ends, adjustable dampers and electronic ignition.
A second round of work with Guy Broad in 2025 brought an engine refresh, a full respray in Pastel Green, rechromed brightwork, LED lighting and a cockpit retrimmed in Suede Green Connolly leather with a new mohair hood. The page says more than £140,000 has been spent over five years. It comes with an extensive service history, memorabilia, its original number plates and a toolkit.
