This is a right-hand-drive, Home Market Jaguar Mark V drophead coupé with the 3.5-litre engine. It was built in December 1950 and dispatched in January 1951 through Henlys of London, supplied new under the Personal Export Delivery scheme. The drophead is the rarer and more desirable body in the Mark V range.
The car had an early 1990s restoration, documented in a history file that holds correspondence back to the early 1970s. The dealer has known it since 2015. Further work followed between 2015 and 2019, including brake overhaul, a new exhaust, reconditioned manifolds, steering box work, new tyres, a bare-metal repaint where the paint had micro-blistered, waxoiled underside and re-varnished woodwork. A new mohair hood in the original French Grey was fitted in 2019.
Recent owners have added re-chroming and various trim renewals, and the current owner rebuilt the gearbox. The page reports a structurally sound chassis, good oil pressure and working gauges. Mileage is not stated.
