This is an early right-hand-drive 3.8 Series 1 E-Type fixed-head coupe, built in the 'flat floor' period before the footwells were reshaped. The dealer describes it as the 100th RHD fixed-head made. It was ordered new by Gerald Barton of the Humber Oil company, which later became Humbrol paints.
The car had a nut-and-bolt restoration in 2021. The dealer says about £102,000 of restoration receipts come with it, along with a large file of bills and photographs. It is finished in its original Opalescent silver blue over a dark blue interior, with chrome 72-spoke wire wheels and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. It keeps its original engine and Moss gearbox, and the numbers are said to match the Jaguar Heritage Trust trace certificate.
Changes from standard include Coopercraft alloy brakes, adjustable Avo dampers, a high-torque starter, a twin-speed Kenlow cooling fan, an aluminium radiator and a stainless twin exhaust. It also has a Bluetooth stereo. No mileage is given, and the photography was still to be completed at the time of listing. The car is viewable near Exeter.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar 1961 launch claims (265 bhp gross SAE, 150 mph); 0-60 and weight left null because only road-test figures are known).
