An early right-hand-drive Series 1 E-Type Roadster, delivered new by Henlys of London in January 1962 and said to be one of only twelve cars from that year still surviving. It has had just four owners in total, and the current seller has kept it in his own collection for eight years.
The car was restored between 2001 and 2003, when it was repainted in Metallic Dark Blue as a nod to the Ecurie Ecosse racing cars and retrimmed in tan leather. The roof was replaced at the same time. Only around 7,000 miles have been covered since, and it has spent time in professional storage. It was recently on loan to Jaguar for a display of its landmark models.
The history file is around four inches thick and holds the original buff logbook, a fresh Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a dated, itemised record of the restoration. Recent work includes new exhaust manifolds and a carburettor overhaul.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's period spec: 3.8 XK straight-six, 265 bhp gross. The 150 mph and about 7 s 0-60 figures came from magazine road tests, not Jaguar, so they're left blank.).
£149,950 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
