This is an early Series 1 E-Type, built in 1961 with the 3.8-litre straight-six and the desirable combination of outside bonnet locks and flat floor. Both features mark the very first cars, made before Jaguar revised the cabin and bonnet catches. The page describes it as a matching-numbers car.
Chassis 875295 was finished on 17 August 1961 and sent new to the USA through Jaguar's New York distribution. It was painted Carmen Red with a black leather interior, the colour it wears now. A restoration began in October 2003 and finished in April 2004, with invoices available.
It is currently registered in the Netherlands, with EEC taxes paid. The paperwork includes a V5C, German registration papers, TÜV sheets and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. No mileage is given. The dealer also has a second outside-bonnet-lock car in metallic grey.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar 1961 launch figures: 265 bhp gross (SAE) from the 3781cc XK six with triple SU carburettors, and Jaguar's 150 mph top speed claim. Weight and 0-60 left null because the commonly quoted numbers come from magazine road tests (e.g. The Motor), not Jaguar, and the body style wasn't specified.).
£220,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
