Listed today at Taylor & Crawley, London.
A 1965 Ford Falcon built for historic racing, bought from Stefano Rosina in Italy, where it had competed as an FIA-papered race car. It is a period-style Sprint-type tourer racer rather than a road car, finished in white with a black interior.
The shell was stripped completely and the car rebuilt in early 2018. Fibreglass boot, doors, wings and bonnet and polycarbonate side and rear windows bring the weight down to 1,158kg. Power comes from a new 289 small-block Ford V8 making over 400bhp, with a top-loader gearbox and a 3.5 limited-slip differential in a 9-inch axle.
Other equipment includes single-adjustable Ohlins dampers, a 120-litre alloy fuel tank with two Holley pumps, a new Odyssey battery and a new fire extinguisher. Suspension and running gear were stripped, inspected and refurbished or replaced as needed. Since the rebuild it has completed one test day and one race. It comes in period livery with FIA papers and a small spares package.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Ambiguous: the 1965 Falcon could be the second-generation car built in the USA or the XP Falcon built in Australia, each with several six-cylinder and V8 engines. No variant was given, so engine figures are left null. Only layout details true of every version are given.).
