A 1960 Fiat 1500 Spider, the Pininfarina-styled two-seat convertible, converted from petrol to electric power by RetroElectrics. It is left-hand drive and was imported to the UK in 2021, then restored.
The conversion uses a 100V AC brushless motor producing 120 hp and 178 lb ft, with a 26.5 kWh battery pack managed by an Orion BMS. The batteries sit in custom enclosures to keep the original look. The original dashboard clocks are retained, with the fuel gauge now showing estimated range. Claimed range is up to 90 miles, and it charges from a domestic 3-pin socket or a supplied Type 2 lead, via a port hidden in the fuel filler.
The car shows 25,600 miles and has two previous owners. It was recently serviced by Retro Classics, the specialists behind the conversion, and is finished in grey.
