The 275 GTB replaced the long-running 250 GT line with a rear-mounted five-speed transaxle and, for the first time on a Ferrari road car, independent suspension at all four corners. The early short-nose cars are the purer-looking ones, and the six-carburettor version of the 3.3-litre Colombo V12 is the one to have, adding roughly 25 horsepower over the standard car.
This right-hand drive example was supplied new in March 1965 through Maranello Concessionaires. It is one of just 11 UK-supplied short-nose cars specified from the factory with the six-carburettor engine, which makes it a rare car even among 275s.
Between 2018 and 2020 it was fully restored by Joe Macari Classics, with a bare-metal respray in Dark Metallic Grey, a Rosso leather retrim and a mechanical overhaul covering the engine, gearbox, suspension and running gear. It has seen little use since. It shows 67,300 miles, comes with a history file of invoices and service records going back to the late 1970s, and has Ferrari Classiche certification confirming matching chassis, engine and gearbox numbers.
