The 420R sits near the top of Caterham's Seven range, pairing the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Duratec with a light S3 chassis. This example is claimed to reach 60mph in 3.5 seconds, with 220 bhp driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
It has been modified with Jenvey throttle bodies, a carbon airbox and a lightened flywheel, all aimed at sharper throttle response. It is finished in Firecracker Yellow with a red Superlight decal kit, black pack and a trackday roll bar.
Chassis equipment includes adjustable Bilstein suspension, a De Dion rear axle, an adjustable rear anti-roll bar and quad-piston front calipers. It rides on black and diamond-cut Apollo alloys with Toyo R888R tyres. The car has covered 19,700 miles and has had one owner.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Caterham UK Seven 420R published figures (c. 2016–17). The 560 kg is Caterham's quoted weight and may not be a strict kerb weight. 0-60 is left out because only 0-62 mph (3.8s) is confirmed.).
