Caterham 310R Ex-Academy

This Caterham started out in 2014 as an Academy car, the one-make series that introduces many drivers to circuit racing. By 2018 it had been brought up to 310R specification, and the owner who bought it then has used it for occasional trackdays.

The 310R pairs the 1.6-litre Sigma engine, here making 152 bhp, with a lightened flywheel, a five-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Chassis upgrades include adjustable Bilstein track suspension, a brake bias adapter and an uprated brake master cylinder. Track equipment includes a yellow FIA roll cage, composite Tillet seats, a six-point driver's harness, a plumbed-in fire extinguisher and Toyo R888R tyres on 13-inch black alloys.

It is finished in Firecracker Yellow with a black graphics kit and has covered 8,800 miles. The dealer says it could go back to full championship 310R race trim or be turned into a road car, and that it comes inspected, serviced and with an MOT.
