This 1990 Virage is no ordinary example of Aston Martin's Newport Pagnell-built successor to the earlier V8 models. Chassis 50079 was built for the personal collection of a member of overseas royalty, and it was extensively upgraded by Aston Martin Works Service in 1998.
That programme covered a full mechanical refurbishment of the engine and transmission, uprated brakes and suspension, a bare-metal respray in British Racing Green and a new interior in red Connolly hide with Wilton carpets. It also gained revised instrumentation and a steering wheel with a driver's airbag. It runs the later V8 coupe wheels with larger brakes, and an uprated automatic gearbox with a sport mode.
It shows around 12,500 miles and has had two keepers. An extensive history file records the refurbishment and later maintenance by marque specialists. The MOT runs to May 2027, and the dealer says it will be sold with a service and a 12-month warranty. The price is on application.
