Aston Martin Virage Limited Edition

This is one of just nine Virage Limited Editions, built from unsold chassis to give Aston Martin a car for the 1994 British International Motor Show at the NEC. It is chassis 50417, in a run that stretched from 50411 to 50419. Compared with the standard Virage it has the V-shaped front grille, five-spoke alloy wheels, a restyled front spoiler with fog lamps and 24 bhp more. All were four-speed automatics with a driver's airbag and side airbags.

The car's history is unusual. It was ordered from the Motor Show stand by boxer Lennox Lewis, the WBC heavyweight champion, with extra leg room and an upgraded sound system. He kept it until 2005, when it was sold at Bonhams in Newport Pagnell with 33,000 miles. It was serviced at Aston Martin Works during his ownership.

It then went to an Aston Martin collector, passed to a Dutch buyer in 2012, and to the current owner in 2015. It now shows 35,500 miles and three keepers. The dealer reports it has been fully checked and is in very good condition, with some minor trim wear. The original number plate and the Lewis sound system remain with the car.
