The Virage was the first all-new Aston Martin of the post-Ford era, replacing the V8 that had been built since the late 1960s. This 1990 car is a rarer manual, with a 330 bhp 5.3-litre V8 driving through a five-speed ZF gearbox. It was supplied new by Aston Martin Sales in September 1990 and is finished in Zagato Valiant Blue over a Rich Red interior.
It was restored through 2019 and 2020. Over 500 hours of bodywork were carried out by Paul Barker, followed by a bare-metal respray by E.R.B. Motors, with the bodywork alone costing more than £36,000. The gearbox has been reconditioned and fitted with a new clutch kit, and the steering rack has been replaced. The Koni dampers have been rebuilt, the suspension has new bushings, and the brake callipers are new, with upgraded discs and pads.
The leather interior has been reconditioned rather than retrimmed, and the wood trim has been restored. The onboard computer shows 36,480 miles, and the car has had 11 owners. The dealer describes it as numbers-matching, with service history scans available.
