Aston Martin V8 Volante Vantage 'Prince Of Wales'

This is one of just 22 factory-built Volante Vantages made to the specification of the car that the then Prince of Wales ordered for himself in 1987. These cars combine the X-Pack Vantage engine and chassis with a discreet body specification, and are collectively known as "PoW" cars. This example is said to be the only one of the 22 built with the optional automatic transmission.

It is finished in Windsor Blue with a Magnolia hide interior piped in Navy Blue, a Navy woven fabric hood and beige carpets. PoW details include a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel and a bespoke central switch panel with sunken switches and a locking raised armrest.

It was delivered in December 1989 via Aston Martin Sales, Knightsbridge, and the selling dealer has known and maintained it from new. It shows 35,251 miles. The history file includes a copy of the factory build record card, the stamped service voucher book, service invoices, the original handbooks, the jack and the tool roll. A new Wilton wool carpet set has recently been fitted. The page lists 11 previous owners.
