About this car
The V8 Volante was built from 1978 to 1986, and only 441 were made. This 1983 car is a rarer manual version, fitted with the original ZF gearbox, and the page says it is matching numbers.
It is in its original colours: Buckinghamshire Green over Fawn leather piped in green, with matching carpets and a contrasting Fawn mohair hood. At just over 20,000 miles in 1988 it went back to Aston Martin Works for an upgrade to Vantage engine specification. That work also brought a full-flow oil cooler, Vantage suspension, road wheels and a Vantage front valance.
Further work on the mechanicals, bodywork and interior was carried out in 2009/2010 by a well-known Aston Martin heritage specialist. The car now shows just over 44,000 miles. The history file holds the original build sheet, extensive past invoices and the owner's handbook.
