Aston Martin V8 Volante

This Aston Martin V8 Volante has been built to Prince of Wales specification. The Volante ran from 1978 to 1989. The Vantage arrived in late 1984 and the Prince of Wales edition came at the end of the run. The owner commissioned a PoW-style car, then found a genuine one, which is why this example is for sale.

The car went to the USA in January 1982, to the Wichita, Kansas area, and appears to have stayed there for decades. It is believed to have belonged to a New York enthusiast by 2012. The current owner bought it in 2015 and shipped it back to the UK.

It has since been converted to European specification. It now has the larger Ronal wheels and a black mohair hood, and it is finished in British Racing Green with a tan interior. The dealer describes it as a matching-numbers, rust-free car in its original body and trim colours. The mileage is 22,000 on the odometer. The dealer's text also mentions 21,500 miles. It has a manual gearbox and right-hand drive. No price is published.
