Aston Martin V8 Volante

This 1980 Aston Martin V8 Volante is an early example of the open-topped V8, finished in blue with blue-piped magnolia leather. It was first registered on 1 January 1980 as LUM 666V and now carries ETH 261V, having worn the private plate 18 PEA for some 28 years under one long-term owner.

Ownership has been stable. The car passed to a second owner in 1982 and was bought in 1984 from Hawks of Queens Gate Mews at 29,900 miles. It was sold at Bonhams' Aston Martin Works Service sale in 2012, with a catalogue noting near-continuous MoT certificates from 1984, specialist servicing and sill replacement in 2001.

Recent spending is substantial: over £23,000 of work by Oselli in 2023, then an inspection, service and MoT at The Aston Barn in July 2026 costing £2,450, passed with no advisories. It shows 77,965 miles. The history file is less comprehensive than it once was but holds period paperwork, copies of earlier service records and recent invoices.
