Aston Martin V8 Volante

This Aston Martin V8 Volante, registered AMV 2T, has covered about 45,000 miles from new. It was supplied new on 1 August 1979 through Armstrong Massey of Market Weighton in Tourmaline Blue with a Magnolia hide interior, and it is described as still in its original colours and matching numbers. The first owner was a London company, which bought it for the chairman's use.

The history file is unusually complete. It holds a copy of the original bill of sale, the warranty card, the service book and MOTs back to the car's third year. Servicing was done by marque specialists throughout: Newport Pagnell in the early years, then Stratton Motor Company, which also rebuilt the cylinder heads and converted them to unleaded. The car was stored from 1993 to 1997, and since 2015 it has been in dry storage, started regularly.

The dealer says it will be fully serviced in its workshops before sale. The 5.3-litre V8 is paired with an automatic gearbox and a power-operated lined hood.
