The V8 Zagato Volante is among the rarest Aston Martins of its period, with only 37 built before production ended in 1990. This right-hand-drive car was completed for the 1989 model year and first registered in 1990 as G909 CPL.
It began life in standard-power form but was later returned to Aston Martin for conversion to full Vantage specification. That makes it one of about six Zagato Volantes to receive the 432 bhp V580X engine and the bonnet power bulge. The engine, V/580/0043/X, was built by Mick Wilson. It also has the factory manual gearbox.
The factory build record shows Hunter Green paint with Tan hide and green carpets edged in Dark Green. The car was one of nine late-production V8 Astons ordered in that combination, known as the Hunter Green Collection, which stayed together until it was sold at Bonhams in 2005. It shows 13,080 miles, and the dealer's 12-month parts and labour guarantee is included.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Only the engine layout is confirmed (5.3L V8, front-mounted, RWD). Power, weight and performance are left blank because most Volantes had the fuel-injected non-Vantage engine and some had the Vantage spec, and I can't confirm the official figures. About 37 were built, but the announced build number changed, so it's left blank.).
