The DB6 was the last of the David Brown-era Aston Martins to use the Tadek Marek straight-six, and the Vantage specification added more power over the standard car. This one was built in October 1966 as a right-hand-drive car and sent to Cyril Williams Motors of Wolverhampton in February 1967. It was originally Olive with black trim. Factory records show a Vantage engine, chrome wheels and a heated rear screen, and a Vantage conversion recorded in July 1967.
The restoration by Aston Works was extensive. A new aluminium body was hand-formed on the English wheel, using the factory's original wooden bucks, and finished in Silver Birch. The driveline was rebuilt and the engine enlarged from 4.0 to 4.2 litres. It has a new stainless exhaust with ceramic-coated manifolds, and new suspension and brake components. The interior was retrimmed in Connolly leather to original patterns.
Modern touring additions include a larger 132-litre fuel tank, a Tracker system, touch-screen navigation, a reversing camera and a hidden kill switch. The page lists 2,719 miles and four owners from new. It is shown as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin's quoted 325 bhp (gross) for the Vantage-spec 3,995cc triple-Weber straight-six. Weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because the period figures are mostly magazine road-test numbers, not confirmed factory figures.).
