About this car

The DB6 followed the DB4 and DB5 with a longer wheelbase, a higher roofline and a Kamm tail, giving noticeably more head and leg room. This 1968 car was delivered new in March 1968 via Guy Salmon, painted Aquamarine with red Connolly leather. It was ordered with Borg Warner automatic transmission, power steering, chrome wheels, a heated rear screen and a power aerial.

It has had only one long-term custodian: the log book shows a change of hands in 1970, then a sale in 1973 to the owner who has kept it for about 50 years. In 1993 Aston Engineering carried out an extensive restoration. That work added a Vantage conversion, air conditioning and an original-type ZF five-speed manual gearbox in place of the automatic. The car is now Silver Birch with a deep red leather interior.

In 2021 it was recommissioned, with the underside re-treated and the suspension, brakes and steering rebuilt. It comes with the original owner's handbook, toolkit, wheel jack and a history file that includes the build sheet and log book. The listing is marked as sold.
