The DB4 Series 4 was built from late 1961 to late 1962 and is recognisable by its vertical-bar grille, more recessed bonnet scoop and separate tail lamps. This example is far from standard: during a full restoration the original 3.7-litre Tadek Marek straight-six was replaced by a 4.2-litre unleaded-specification engine with triple Weber carburettors, built by Aston Engineering.
The car was bought through JD Classics and restored to the specific wishes of its owner. It has uprated suspension and brakes, wider wheels and tyres with Borrani wheel spinners, and slightly flared rear arches to clear them. A modified limited-slip axle is fitted, along with electric power steering and a smaller leather steering wheel.
The retrim added air conditioning, a discreet music system and retractable colour-coded seat belts. The dealer describes the condition as excellent, to concours standard, and the odometer reads 23,935 miles. The price is on application.
