This 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Series 4, chassis DB4/797/R, has been restored and then modified for faster, more usable driving. The engine is a bespoke 4.2-litre unit built by David Jackes of Aston Engineering, running on triple Weber carburettors, with a Link ignition system fitted and programmed in 2025.
The changes go beyond the engine. The brakes are uprated to racing specification, and there is a limited-slip differential, an uprated suspension and handling package, adjustable power steering and air conditioning. It sits on new offset wire wheels, and the interior was retrimmed by a former Aston Martin factory trimmer.
The dealer says the car has covered about 2,000 miles since restoration. It was kept in a private collection and was originally supplied by JD Classics, with a brief to provide the best available. It is registered in the UK as YVH938. The page shows the price marked "Accepted", which suggests the car is now under offer.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin's claimed 240 bhp gross for the DB4; weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because the factory figures couldn't be confirmed).
£620,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
